Ambattur Industrial Estate Delegation Meets Finance Minister to Address Cyclone Michaung Losses

A delegation from the Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturing Association (AIEMA) met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and officials from the Department of Finance in New Delhi to discuss the losses incurred by industries due to Cyclone Michaung. The Ministry of Finance, in a tweet, revealed that public sector general insurance companies have been directed to increase the number of surveyors immediately.

A special camp is scheduled from December 20 to facilitate the swift processing of claims, ensuring a smoother experience for affected industries. Finance Minister Sitharaman assured the delegation that the central government would take necessary measures to expedite the disbursement of eligible insurance claims, offering support to industries grappling with the aftermath of the cyclone.
