In a surprising turn of events, Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, who recently resigned from his post and defected to the Congress party, made a U-turn by rejoining the YSRCP in the presence of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Expressing his loyalty to the ruling party, Reddy affirmed his commitment to work for the victory of the YSRCP candidate in the Mangalagiri constituency.
He emphasized the party’s commitment to selecting a candidate from the Backward Classes for the upcoming elections. Despite his brief stint with the Congress, Reddy acknowledged the support and opportunities provided by the YSRCP, citing his admiration for its leadership, particularly Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, whom he likened to his father, the late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Reddy’s return to the YSRCP comes after his departure due to differences over party appointments, indicating a strategic realignment in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape.
