AHoax Bomb Threat Email to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Deemed False

A bomb threat email sent to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGI) in Hyderabad was confirmed as a hoax, according to the local police. The airport’s customer care received an email on Monday morning, claiming that a bomb had been planted at the airport and was set to detonate at 7 p.m. In response, airport security was immediately mobilized, including the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), local police, bomb squad, and canine unit, to conduct thorough anti-sabotage checks.

Following a meticulous search, no explosives were found. The RGIA police have registered a case under section 385 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and are actively investigating to identify and apprehend the sender of the false threat.
