Advancing Strategic Ties: Modi and Meloni Forge Path Forward at G7 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni met during the G7 Summit to reinforce their bilateral strategic partnership, focusing on enhancing cooperation across global platforms and multilateral initiatives, particularly emphasizing the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). They also welcomed upcoming bilateral military exchanges, including the visit of Italian naval vessels to India, underscoring their shared historical and contemporary bonds, including mutual recognition of wartime contributions and cultural exchanges. The leaders affirmed their dedication to enhancing people-to-people connections through academic collaborations and mobility agreements, aiming to deepen understanding and cooperation between India and Italy.
