Activist Receives Death Threats After Rally Against Sanatana Dharma
Sema Chandana Raj, coordinator of the Periyariya Unarvalargal Kootamaippu, reported receiving death threats following a rally against Sanatana Dharma, which his organization organized. The rally, known as ‘Samooga Neethi Perani,’ took place on the 145th birth anniversary of Thanthai Periyar.
In his complaint to the police, Raj stated that he received two anonymous calls, during which the caller made derogatory remarks about him, his family, and his participation in anti-Sanatan Dharma activities, ultimately issuing death threats. The Thoothukudi police have launched an investigation into the matter, with various social activists supporting Raj’s call for legal action against the suspected caller.
