ACP shot his wife, nephew, and himself with the same pistol in Amravati

In Amravati, a shocking incident occurred where an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) allegedly killed his wife and nephew before shooting himself at their home early on Monday. The Chaturshringi Police conducted a preliminary probe and rushed to the scene upon receiving the information.

The ACP, identified as Bharat S. Gaikwad, 57, was posted at Rajapeth Division of Amravati City Police, and the tragic incident has deeply affected the state police circles. In the early hours of the day, the serving police officer reportedly shot dead his wife, Moni, 44, and nephew Deepak, 34, before turning the gun on himself.

No suicide note has been found, and the exact motives for the double murder-suicide remain unclear, with the possibility of a family dispute or enmity not being ruled out.
