Accused in Firing Case Salman Khan House Attempts Suicide in Custody

Anuj Thapan, one of the accused in the Salman Khan house firing case, attempted to end his life while in custody at the Mumbai police lock-up on April 30 afternoon. Thapan, aged 32, was admitted to the hospital after the suicide attempt. He was arrested by the Crime Branch in connection with the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house, where five rounds were fired.

Thapan, along with another accused, Sonu Subhash Chander, was arrested from Punjab on April 25 and brought to Mumbai. Thapan’s condition is reported to be critical after the suicide attempt, and he has been admitted to Gokuldas Tejpal (G.T.) Hospital.
