Minister for Dairy Development Mano Thangaraj announced a significant increase in Aavin’s milk procurement, reaching 34.42 lakh litres per day, with expectations to hit 35 LLPD soon. The rise is attributed to recent rains and the flush season, which boosted procurement to 30 LLPD last month. Additionally, there has been a 23% year-on-year increase in milk-based product sales, facilitated by the involvement of primary cooperative societies.
These societies have sold products worth ₹1.18 crore in the past two months, enhancing both their income and Aavin’s market reach. Discussions are underway to expand sales through other cooperative societies across the State.
