3.5 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Telangana’s Bhadradri Kothagudem District
An earthquake measuring 3.5 magnitude struck parts of Telangana’s Bhadradri Kothagudem district early Friday, causing panic among residents. The tremors felt around 4.43 a.m., led people to come out of their houses, with some reporting unusual noises accompanying the quake.
While authorities confirmed no immediate losses, this marks the second time in a week that the Manuguru Mandal region has experienced tremors, with some speculating a connection to coal mining activities in the area. The National Center for Seismology recorded the quake’s location as 127 km east of Warangal, with an epicenter latitude of 18.04 and a longitude of 80.80.
