13 Hostages Killed in Israeli Airstrikes, Says Hamas’ Military Wing
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas militant group, has reported that Israeli airstrikes in Gaza over the past 24 hours have resulted in the deaths of 13 hostages. The statement from the armed wing did not specify the nationalities of the victims but mentioned that “13 prisoners, including foreigners” were killed in five locations targeted by Israeli fighter jets.
Hamas militants are believed to be holding around 150 hostages in Gaza, including senior Israeli army officers and foreign nationals, following the October 7 surprise attack. The militant group had previously threatened to harm the hostages if Israel continued its airstrikes on Gaza.
