Host a party : Tips and Tricks
A farewell party is organised to bid farewell to a person on his retirement or on his leaving home for some other country. It is also organised by junior students to their seniors on passing out the heights class in a school or colleges It is a soleman occasion which combines in it some delight and some sadness. The host of a farewell party has many functions to perform. First of all, it is his or her duty to seek permission for holding such a party from the concerned, higher authority. After having got the permission, A list of invitees should be prepared. If there has to be a chief guest, he or she should be requested to preside over the function by telling him or her the time and the place of the party, its duration and purpose. If the chief guest gives his or her consent to preside over, only then his or her name should be mention in the notice or invitation card. If it is a school or college farewell party, the host should notify it on the public noticeboard, clearly giving details of the party, the request for attending it. If it is private party, a personal letter to be sent to the invitees. If it is public party, an invitation letter should be printed. The host must take care in the dispatch of such letter or cards, and confirm their delivery. He or she should give a contact number in case somebody wants some information. on the day of the party , the room or hall should be thoroughly cleaned and gracefully decorated. The stage must be decorated. It should have chairs enough to accommodate the persons intended to be seated. The host should also ensure the arrangement of good audio system and video photography. He or she should be present at the gate to welcome the guests.then it is his or her duty to conduct the stage. He or she should introduce the person in whose honour the party has been organised as also the chief guest if there is any. Garlands, bouquets and mementoes should be kept for the purpose. It is also the function of the host to thank all the guest the the end an invite the guest to the tea party , lunch or dinner, which ever has been arranged for the occasion.
