VS Hospitals and Chennai Traffic Police conducts Road Safety Awareness Campaign

VS Hospitals, in partnership with the Chennai Traffic Police, successfully conducted the “STOP and WATCH” traffic awareness campaign from 23rd to 24th of December 2024. Held at 50 strategic traffic signals throughout Chennai, the initiative aimed to promote road safety and encourage adherence to traffic regulations. Throughout the two-day campaign, over 100 Santas engaged with commuters and pedestrians, rewarding those who demonstrated exemplary road safety behaviors with goodies. These festive ambassadors played a crucial role in educating the public on the importance of following traffic rules, particularly during the holiday season.

Mr. Sudhakar, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Chennai, expressed his satisfaction with the campaign’s impact. “The enthusiasm and cooperation from the community have been overwhelming. This campaign has not only promoted safer driving habits but has also fostered a spirit of responsibility among Chennai’s citizens. We appreciate and commend VS Hospitals for their partnership in this vital initiative.”

Prof. Dr. S. Subramanian, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of VS Hospitals, reflected on the campaign’s broader implications, “The ‘STOP and WATCH’ campaign is more than a road safety initiative, it is a part of our ongoing commitment to public health and safety. We are pleased to report a high level of engagement and positive feedback from the participants, which underscores the importance of community-focused health initiatives.” At VS Hospitals, our mission extends beyond healthcare to ensuring public safety. This CSR initiative is a testament to our commitment to making Chennai a safer city. We commend our traffic police who tirelessly work under all conditions to maintain safety and order.
