VISTARA ACTIVATES ITS NATIONAL RELIEF PROGRAM TO PROVIDE AIR LOGISTICS SUPPORT

Vistara, a joint venture of Tata group and Singapore Airlines, through its National Relief Program, has extended support to the Government of India and state governments/union territories in their effort to strengthen the country’s healthcare infrastructure, in the wake of the second wave of COVID-19 in India. Under the program, the airline is offering complimentary cargo space on its domestic flights for transportation of the medical supplies, PPE kits, vaccines etc., by government organisations. The airline has also offered to provide free of cost air travel, across its domestic network, to doctors and nurses, representing government organisations/hospitals, travelling to carry out their official duties. The program was launched on 25 April with a 15-day validity.

Eligible organisations or personnel are welcome to send their requests to nationalrelief@airvistara.com, fill the relevant request forms (which will be shared as a response to the mails) and submit them along with supporting documents. After evaluation of the documents, qualified requests will be processed for support.  Healthcare workers, who wish to avail this offer under Vistara’s National Relief Program, will have to follow all SOPs related to travel, mandated by the government to ensure safety of passengers on-board as well as Vistara’s staff.

As a responsible corporate citizen, Vistara has always stepped up in times of crisis, providing support to stakeholders, including in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, in support of Government of India’s ‘Mission Lifeline UDAN’ initiative, Vistara had deployed its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to transport relief material, medical supplies and essential commercial goods across the country. The airline is once again prepared and committed to extend support to the government by standing with the nation.
