SRM Tamil Perayam Conducts ‘Sol Tamizha Sol 2025’ in Chennai

The Tamil Perayam at SRM Institute of Science and Technology is organising a massive speech competition, titled ‘Sol Tamizha Sol 2025’, to be held in 9 zones in Tamilnadu and Puducherry at various college campuses.

The forum successful completed the speech contests in the first zone, namely Chennai, at the SRM College of Science and Technology campus, Kattankulathur.The event saw more than 500 students and 15 judges participate, making the Chennai Zone competitions a grand success.

The following were the winners:

First Prize – Rs. 1,00,000 – S. Pandi Ganesh, Madras Christian College

Second Prize – Rs. 75,000 – L. Sanjana, St. Joseph College of Engineering

Third Prize – Rs. 50,000 – S. Satish Kumar, University of MadrasThe

Final round was judged by Professor Aranga Ramalingam and Prof. Vimala Annadurai, who also declared the winners. Certificates for the winners were given away by Karu Nagarasan , President, Tamil Perayam.

The top four winners qualify to participate in the state-level grand finale.The prizes shall be given during the state level finale.

Vellore Zone shall be next, with contests to be held on February 02, 2025 at Tirupattur Sacred Hearts College.

The Tamil Perayam, was launched by SRMIST’s founder chancellor, Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar in the year 2010. Ever since its inception, the forum continues to make impressive contributions to the growth of Tamil language. In addition to special courses like the Tamil Arutchunainjar Certificate course and Vallalar Certificate course, the Perayam, among its other activities, gives Tamil research awards worth Lakhs of Rupees, publishes rare literary works, and conducts national and international seminars.

The Parivendhar Students Tamil Club gives opportunities for thousands of student members of the Tamil Perayam to express their talents.
