Mahipal beats Ganesh to win maiden title
In the Finals played based on the cumulative pinfall of two games, Mahipal finished the first game with a colossal lead of 68 pins over Ganesh (266-198). In Game 2, Ganesh NT was not able to cover up the massive lead and eventually Mahipal ended up on the winning of the two-game cumulative pinfall by a significant margin of 55 pins (443-388).
Earlier in the day, in the first Semi-Final played based on the cumulative pinfall of two games, top seed Mahipal Singh defeated fourth seed Parthiban J (403-361) in the two-game knockout by a pinfall difference of 42 pins. In the second Semi-Final, second seed Ganesh NT defeated third seed Anand Babu (418-382) by a margin of 36 Pins and thereby ensuring his spot in the Finals.
The top 4 bowlers made it to the knock-out round based on cumulative pinfall of 18 games. Mahipal Singh, who led the field from Round 1, finished with an average of 211.50 in 18 games, followed by Ganesh NT (207.28), Anand Babu (199.44) and Parthiban J (196.72).
