Progress Update on Kozhikode-Wayanad Tunnel Road Project

The Kozhikode-Wayanad tunnel road project, aimed at providing an alternative to the congested Thamarassery ghat road, has made significant strides. According to Minister P.A. Mohammed Riyas, 92% of the required land has been successfully acquired, with Wayanad district achieving full acquisition and Kozhikode nearing completion.

Environmental approvals have been secured, including stage-1 forest clearance for essential forest land usage. With the detailed project report approved and tenders issued, the project is poised for further advancements, targeting completion within four years.
