Women Police Shine at Special All India Shooting Competition

The Special All India Police Competition (Women)-2024, held at the Tamil Nadu Commando School Training Centre in Othivakkam, Chengalpattu district, saw remarkable performances by women police personnel from across the nation. In the Pistol/Revolver Shooting Practice No. III category, K. Bharathi of Tamil Nadu Police clinched first place, while Assam Rifles’ W. Julia Devi and Tamil Nadu’s Sub-Inspector P. Sudha secured second and third places, respectively.

CT Priyanka Boro from Assam Police topped the Rifle Shooting Practice No.III, and CT Paramila of Border Security Force excelled in the Pistol/Revolver Shooting Practice No.IV. CT Saroj of Uttar Pradesh Police won the Rifle Shooting Practice No.IV, and G. Tejaswari of Indo-Tibetan Border Police led in the Carbine Practice No.I. The event, featuring 453 participants from various states and forces, was a testament to the prowess and dedication of women in law enforcement.
