Naidu’s First Act as Chief Minister Sparks Joy Among Aspiring Teachers

In a decisive move fulfilling a key election promise, newly-appointed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu signed a file announcing the recruitment of 16,347 teachers across the state. This action, taken on June 13, 2024, brought immense relief and joy to thousands of unemployed youths aspiring for government school teaching positions.

The notification covers Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), and School Assistants. The initiative addresses a significant backlog in teacher recruitment, which had previously faced criticism under the YSRCP government. Teacher unions welcomed the move, urging further reforms and adjustments to benefit the teaching community and enhance educational access for underprivileged children.
