Public Input Sought on Amended Building Rules by CMDA
The Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) is gearing up to present the newly amended Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules (TNCDBR) to the public for feedback.
Setbacks, which dictate minimum distances between structures and property boundaries, remain a key consideration. Discussions also included aspects like Floor Space Index (FSI) and Open Space Reservation (OSR). Envelope approval, a method streamlining preliminary approval processes, was also deliberated. After the proposal is shared next week, the public will have a 30-day window to voice their opinions and raise objections.
