Maldives to Ban Israelis Amid Gaza Conflict
The Maldives government has announced plans to ban Israelis from entering the country amid growing public outrage over the conflict in Gaza. President Mohamed Muizu’s office revealed that the Cabinet has decided to change laws to enforce the ban and establish a subcommittee to oversee the process.
Additionally, a special envoy will be appointed to assess Palestinian needs and initiate a fundraising campaign. In response, Israel’s Foreign Ministry has advised Israelis to avoid traveling to the Maldives and for those currently there to consider leaving.
