India Boosts Global Counter-Terrorism Efforts with $500,000 Contribution to UN Trust Fund

India has reaffirmed its commitment to the global fight against terrorism by contributing $500,000 to the UN Counter-Terrorism Trust Fund (CTTF). Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, handed over the voluntary financial contribution to Under Secretary General Vladimir Voronkov on May 7.

This contribution underscores India’s unwavering commitment to supporting multilateral efforts led by the United Nations in combating terrorism. The contribution will support UNOCT’s global programmes, focusing mainly on Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and the Countering Terrorist Travel Programme (CTTP). India’s cumulative financial support to the trust fund now stands at $2.55 million, reflecting its dedication to international cooperation in countering terrorism.
