Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar Commends Bharat Biotech’s Efforts

During his visit to Bharat Biotech’s manufacturing facility in Genome Valley, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar commended the critical role played by the company in India’s immunization programs, particularly in combating the COVID-19 pandemic with Covaxin. Accompanied by Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan, Mr. Dhankar received a briefing about the company’s production processes and its initiatives in new vaccine development.

He appreciated Bharat Biotech’s focus on neglected diseases such as malaria, cholera, tuberculosis, and chikungunya, which primarily affect people in developing nations. Additionally, he planted a medicinal sapling to mark the visit and praised the company’s contribution to digital healthcare advancements, stressing the importance of collaboration between industry and academia for increased research support across all sectors.
