Landslide on NH-313 Disrupts Traffic in Arunachal Pradesh
In Arunachal Pradesh, a portion of National Highway-313 caved in due to a landslide triggered by incessant rain, disrupting traffic movement. The landslide, caused by heavy rainfall over the past few days, damaged the road between Hunli and Anini, the Dibang Valley district headquarters, on April 24 night. As a result, surface communication to Dibang Valley district has been cut off.
Anini Additional Deputy Commissioner Dhurbajyoti Borah stated that efforts were underway to repair the road, with workers and machinery deployed on a war footing. It is expected to take a couple of days to restore traffic movement, although efforts are being made to allow small vehicles to ply the road by April 25 evening.
