BJP Announces Candidates for UP Assembly Bypolls

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly bypolls, the BJP has named its candidates for four constituencies. Arvind Singh will represent Dadraul, Shailendra Kumar Shailu will contest from Gainsari, Shravan Gaur will run in Duddhi (Reserved), and O.P. Srivastava will vie for the Lucknow East seat. The bypolls, coinciding with the Lok Sabha elections, will be conducted on different dates in May and June.

Interestingly, the party did not nominate a family member of the late Ashutosh Tandon, necessitating a bypoll in his constituency. Notably, candidates were selected for seats vacated due to various reasons, including illness and disqualification. This move underscores the BJP’s strategic planning for the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.
