Successful Rescue Operation: Baby Girl Kidnapped from Chennai Central Station
In a swift and coordinated effort, the Government Railway Police (GRP) of Chennai Central railway station managed to arrest two individuals for the kidnapping of a one-and-a-half-year-old baby girl. The child, belonging to a couple from West Bengal, was taken from the station while her parents were asleep. Prompt action by the GRP, aided by CCTV footage analysis and a crucial tip-off from an autorickshaw driver, led to the rescue of the kidnapped child.
The autorickshaw driver’s alertness and cooperation with the Ennore police proved instrumental in apprehending the kidnappers and safely recovering the baby girl. The arrested individuals, identified as R. Selvam and N. Karthik, were taken into custody, ensuring justice for the traumatized family and highlighting the importance of community vigilance in combating such crimes.
