Five Convicted for Land Grab in Thoraipakkam

The Special Court for Central Crime Branch (CCB) Cases has sentenced five individuals, including three women, to three years’ imprisonment for unlawfully seizing land valued at ₹3 crore in Thoraipakkam in 2014. Among the convicted are D. Ambujam, along with her sons Raji alias Rajendran and Parthsarathy, who were arrested by the Land Fraud Investigation Wing (LFIW) of the CCB.

The usurped property, measuring 33 cents, belonged to Sudhakar of Sowcarpet and his family members. In addition to the prison term, the court imposed a collective fine of ₹46,000 on the offenders.
