Jaishankar’s Productive Meeting with Malaysian Counterpart

During his visit to Kuala Lumpur, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar engaged in a “productive and frank” discussion with his Malaysian counterpart, Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, focusing on the multifaceted bilateral ties between India and Malaysia. They exchanged views on various dimensions of bilateral affairs, regional dynamics, and international issues of mutual interest.

The meeting also explored plans for high-level visits and the upcoming 7th Joint Commission Meeting between Malaysia and India. This encounter marked the first official interaction between Jaishankar and Hasan since the latter assumed office in December 2023, highlighting the significance of diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
