DMDK Leader Premallatha Vijayakant Faces Charges for Poll Code Violation

The Chennai Metropolitan Bus Terminus (CMBT) police have filed a case against DMDK leader Premallatha Vijayakant and others for allegedly violating the poll code. The complaint alleges that she organized Women’s Day programs and distributed tokens for embroidery training without permission, violating the model code of conduct.

Upon receiving the complaint, a surveillance team visited the DMDK office and lodged a formal complaint, urging police action. Banners erected without permission further aggravated the violation, prompting the complainant to seek legal action against her.
