Sudha Murty Sworn in as Rajya Sabha MP

Renowned engineer-turned-philanthropist Sudha Murty took oath as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha on March 14, administered by Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar in the Parliament House chamber. Alongside her husband N R Narayana Murthy, Leader of the House Piyush Goyal also graced the occasion.

Murty, known for her significant contributions to literature, particularly in Kannada and English, has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. Notably, she played a pivotal role in the inception of Infosys by providing the initial seed capital, a decision that has profoundly influenced the technology landscape in India.
