Telangana Government Set to Unveil Two New Schemes

The Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is gearing up to announce two additional schemes in fulfillment of its promises made before the December Assembly elections. These schemes include the launch of the Indiramma housing scheme for the underprivileged, which will commence in Kothagudem on Monday, along with the introduction of a sustenance allowance of ₹2,500 for eligible women.

To facilitate the implementation of the Indiramma housing scheme, the State Housing Board has been authorized to secure a ₹3,000 crore loan from HUDCO. The State Cabinet is scheduled to convene on Tuesday to deliberate on these schemes and provide approval for their execution. This meeting holds significance as it precedes the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, anticipated to be announced on March 13.

The government aims to roll out these schemes before the election schedule announcement, considering them as ongoing initiatives, along with discussions on filling vacant MLC posts under the Governor’s quota, influenced by recent High Court verdicts and candidates’ nominations.
