Tanker Overturns in Kerala’s Kannur District, Minor Injuries Reported
In Kerala’s Kannur district, a tanker transporting liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) overturned after colliding with three vehicles in the early hours of Wednesday. The tanker, reportedly en route from Mangaluru in Karnataka, lost control on the Pazhayangadi bridge, resulting in minor injuries to nine individuals, including the tanker driver.
Fortunately, preliminary investigations revealed no gas leak, alleviating concerns of a potential disaster. However, traffic disruptions persisted until another tanker arrived from Mangaluru to refill the gas and restore normalcy in the area. The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m., with the tanker initially colliding with a tempo traveler before hitting two cars and halting. Among those injured, eight were passengers in the tempo traveler, all-sustaining minor injuries.
