BJP Enlists Social Media Influencers to Spotlight Obscure Ramayana Sites
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated the Ramotsav Yatra, engaging a team of social media influencers to generate content about places associated with Lord Rama or mentioned in the Ramayana. The yatra, running from January 14 to February 14, includes pilgrims such as social media influencers, historians, travel enthusiasts, and party workers.
Malay Dixit, a social media influencer, leads the yatra, aiming to raise awareness about lesser-known sites mentioned in the Ramayana. Influencers with significant social media followings will create a comprehensive pilgrimage and tourist map, shedding light on these places nationally. The BJP plans to seek budgetary support from the central government to develop these locations, emphasizing historical and sacred sites like Shabari Kolla in Belagavi district.
