In response to the surge in bus passengers attributed to the Shakti Yojana scheme, the Karnataka state government plans to purchase 5,800 new buses for the four transport corporations by the end of March, announced Transport and Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy. The minister inaugurated a newly constructed city bus stand in Kalaburagi, emphasizing the state’s commitment to public transportation.
