AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi Welcomes SC Order on Bilkis Bano Case, Demands Apology from BJP Governments

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to quash the remission of 11 convicts in the Bilkis Bano gang rape case. Owaisi demanded an apology from the BJP governments in Gujarat and at the Centre, accusing them of helping in the release of the convicts. He emphasized that the Supreme Court’s order should serve as a precedent against rapists and criticized the BJP for supporting and endorsing the release of the convicts.

Owaisi pointed out that the Union home ministry, led by Amit Shah, approved the remission and premature release of the convicts, questioning why Shah approved for their release. He highlighted the importance of justice for women and criticized the BJP’s hollow claims on women’s empowerment.
