IMD Predicts Continued Dense Fog and Cold Conditions in North India
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted the continuation of dense to very dense fog and Cold Day to ‘severe’ Cold Day conditions in northern India over the next 24 hours. Minimum temperatures range from 4-8 degrees Celsius over states like Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
Some areas in east Uttar Pradesh and northwest Madhya Pradesh experience temperatures between 9-12 degrees. Dense to very dense fog is likely to persist in parts of Punjab and isolated pockets of Haryana-Chandigarh on Monday and Tuesday, with the conditions expected to continue for the next few days. Cold Day to severe Cold Day conditions are also predicted in specific regions.
Meanwhile, south Peninsular India may experience light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu over the next three days.
