Crime Increases in Rachakonda, Cyber Crimes Surge by 25%
The Rachakonda Police Commissionerate has reported a 6.86% increase in overall crime in 2023 compared to the previous year. Notably, there has been a significant 25% surge in cyber crimes, with 2,562 cases reported in 2023 compared to 2,049 cases in the previous year. However, there was a positive trend in crimes against women, witnessing a 6.25% decrease with 3,122 cases in 2023 compared to 3,330 cases in 2022.
Additionally, road accidents showed a decline of 5.76%, with 3,321 cases reported in 2023 as opposed to 3,524 cases in 2022. The data was presented by Rachakonda Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu during the annual press meet-2023 held in Nagole.
