Congress Urges Reversal of Suspension for MPs Over Security Breach

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, a Congress leader, has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, urging the revocation of the suspension of 13 Opposition MPs following the December 13 security breach. In his three-page letter, Chowdhury emphasized the threat to the personal safety of members during the breach and called for a holistic review of the situation.

He highlighted the duty of MPs to question the government and Home Minister Amit Shah, calling for an appropriate response to restore order in the House. Chowdhury also stressed the need to reevaluate protocols for issuing passes to visitors and examine factors leading to such security breaches.
