Waiter Killed Over Trivial Matter at Wedding in Ghaziabad
A 26-year-old waiter named Pankaj was tragically killed at a wedding in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, over a trivial matter. The dispute arose when a platter of used plates carried by the waiter accidentally touched the guests. In the ensuing argument, Pankaj was brutally thrashed by several men. Fearing he was dead, the assailants disposed of his body in a jungle.
The police initiated an investigation after recovering Pankaj’s body the next day, revealing a deep head wound during the postmortem. The victim’s mother reported his absence, and the police identified Pankaj as a waiter at the CGS Vatika guest house.
The inquiry disclosed that a contractor named Manoj Gupta, a partner at the venue was involved in the assault along with others. Manoj, Amit Kumar, and another person have been taken into custody.
