IDF Announces More Casualties in Gaza Conflict

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Tuesday the tragic loss of three soldiers in combat in Gaza, identified as Capt Eitan Fisch (24), Staff Sgt Tuval Yaakov Tsanani (22), and Sgt Yakkir Yedidya Schenkolewski (24), all serving in the 188th Armoured Brigade’s 53rd Battalion. Alongside this devastating news, four soldiers sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment at a military hospital.

Since the resumption of attacks on December 1 following the collapse of the seven-day humanitarian truce, six troopers have lost their lives, bringing the total military casualties to 78 since the ground offensive began on October 27. Notably, the majority of these losses occurred on October 7, the day of Hamas’s unprecedented assault.

Since the war’s onset, the IDF has sadly reported the deaths of over 400 soldiers, underlining the severity and prolonged nature of the conflict.
