Medical Board Process Near Completion for Voice Sampling Test in Bengal Cash-for-Job Case

ESI Hospital authorities in Kolkata have informed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that the process of forming a medical board for the medical examination of Sujay Krishna Bhadra, a prime accused in the West Bengal cash-for-school job case, is almost complete. However, the medical board will lack a neurologist and will consist only of a cardiologist and ENT specialist.

Earlier, a shortage of neurologists led to the inability to form the full medical board. Once the medical board deems Bhadra fit for the voice sampling test, it will be conducted in the presence of a forensic expert, a general physician, and an independent witness. The ED has accused the hospital authorities of non-cooperation, and the voice sample test is crucial following the Calcutta High Court’s directive to conclude the investigation by December 31.
