Tragic Car-Bus Collision Claims Two Lives Near Urapakkam

In a tragic incident near Urapakkam, two young individuals lost their lives in a head-on collision between a speeding car and a private bus. The victims, identified as Deepak (23) and Rupesh (24) from Maraimalai Nagar, worked as decorators for weddings and events. The fatal collision occurred in the early hours of Monday as the group of friends, including the deceased, was en route to Kovalam.

Deepak, who was driving, lost control of the car and veered into oncoming lanes, resulting in a collision with the bus. Deepak succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while Rupesh and the three other injured individuals were rushed to a nearby private hospital.

Tragically, Rupesh succumbed to his injuries hours later. The Guduvanchery traffic investigation police have registered a case, and the bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination at Chromepet Government Hospital.
