Israeli Forces Withdraw from Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza
The Israeli army has withdrawn from Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza after a week-long raid, according to a Palestinian security source. Prior to leaving, the Israeli forces detonated facilities within the complex, including power generators, oxygen pumps, and radiology equipment. The army claims to have destroyed underground tunnels beneath the hospital that were allegedly used by Hamas.
The hospital, which currently has around 250 patients and staff, is non-operational due to severe shortages of power, water, and medical supplies. The withdrawal occurred on the first day of a temporary humanitarian ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, expected to last four days.
