Kerala Cabinet to Embark on Statewide Tour Amid Criticism
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his cabinet are set to embark on a statewide tour, starting from Manjeswaram in the north, to meet the people and address their grievances. The tour, called ‘Nava Kerala Sadasu,’ is scheduled to cover all 140 Assembly constituencies and will conclude on December 24 in the state capital.
However, the move has faced criticism from the Congress-led UDF and the BJP, labeling it as an unnecessary extravagance, especially considering the state’s financial challenges.
The opposition argues that the government should prioritize addressing pressing issues, such as the delay in pension payments, instead of organizing a costly tour. Despite the criticism, organizers assert that the initiative aims to directly engage with the public and address their concerns.
