Tragic Outcome: Elderly Man Beaten Over Parking Dispute Succumbs to Injuries
A 73-year-old man, Amar Singh, who was assaulted by his neighbors in West Delhi’s Subhash Nagar over a parking dispute on November 5, has tragically succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The retired government officer has been in critical condition since the incident.
A case under sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code had been registered, with the three accused, Raj Kumar Madan (58), Ayush Madan (33), and Shubham Madan (32), already in judicial custody.
The altercation unfolded when Singh’s neighbors parked two cars in front of his house, leading to a confrontation. Singh’s son was initially attacked, and Singh intervened, resulting in severe head injuries. Despite being taken to DDU Hospital and later transferred to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, Singh’s condition remained critical until his unfortunate demise.
