IMD Predicts Heavy Rains Across Karnataka, Including Bengaluru
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for heavy rains on Saturday across Karnataka, including the state capital, Bengaluru. Coastal districts such as Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Udupi are expected to experience rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
In central Karnataka, districts like Davanagere and Chitradurga, as well as south Karnataka districts including Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagar, Tumakuru, Shivamogga, Mandya, Mysuru, Chikkaballapura, Hassan, and Kodagu, are anticipated to receive significant rainfall.
Furthermore, north Karnataka districts like Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, and Vijayapura are likely to experience rainfall along with thunder and lightning. The IMD’s prediction suggests a widespread impact across the state, prompting residents and authorities to remain vigilant.
