IDF Claims Success in Eliminating Hamas Commanders in Gaza Offensive

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has reported significant achievements in its ground offensive in Gaza, asserting that it has eliminated 10 brigade and battalion commanders of the Hamas militant group since the operation began on October 27. IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari disclosed this information and stated that over 130 Hamas militants have been killed in the course of the ground invasion.

Despite provocations from the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon, the IDF remains focused on its operations in the Gaza Strip. Hagari acknowledged the challenging nature of the battle within the Hamas-controlled enclave and highlighted the destruction of several tunnel systems used by the militants.

Intelligence materials obtained from the Jabeliya refugee camp, the largest in Gaza, during the army’s operation will be utilized for further attacks on Hamas. Israeli ground forces are closing in on Gaza City, the most densely populated area in the Palestinian enclave, while the death toll among IDF troops has risen to 23.
