Tragic Accident During Durga Puja Celebrations Claims Girl’s Life in Assam

Amid the festive celebrations of Durga Puja in Moran, Assam’s Dibrugarh district, a tragic accident occurred, resulting in the loss of a young girl’s life. Rashmita Guar, an 11-year-old, passed away on Monday after being struck by a police vehicle while she was en route to a local Durga Puja pandal with her mother. The incident involved a police car allegedly on duty to provide security and traffic control during the festivities.

The vehicle reportedly hit the child at a relatively high speed, causing her to fall to the ground. Despite immediate medical attention at the Dibrugarh Medical College and Hospital, the young girl succumbed to her injuries. The family has filed a police complaint against the accused officer, Anup Gayan, who is in charge of the Bamunbari police station in Dibrugarh district.
