Madras High Court Bans Illegal Release of Vijay’s ‘Leo’ Movie
The Madras High Court has taken a stand against the illegal release of superstar Vijay’s movie ‘Leo’ in pirated versions online. The film’s producers, Seven Screen Studio, sought the court’s intervention to prevent the screening of pirated versions and requested that internet service providers take action against such releases.
Justice Abdul Quddhose of the Madras High Court issued an order to ban pirated versions of the movie and directed internet service providers to ensure that these versions are not accessible through their platforms.
Seven Screen Studio emphasized the significant budget allocated to the movie and the potential financial losses if a pirated version were to circulate. They also pointed out that with approximately 1,200 websites involved, the film’s global release could be compromised, resulting in a much smaller audience due to illegal releases.
