Biden Would Lose to Haley and DeSantis in 2024 Election, Poll Suggests
A recent poll suggests that if the 2024 U.S. presidential election were held today, President Joe Biden would narrowly defeat his predecessor Donald Trump but lose to Republican presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis. According to the Fox News survey, Biden has a one-point lead over Trump (49% to 48%), while trailing behind Haley by four points (49% to 45%) and DeSantis by two points in hypothetical head-to-head matchups.
Notably, the poll showed that Nikki Haley has made significant gains since September, with 10% support. She also garnered the highest number of defections among Democrats, with 9% supporting her.
A CNN poll from last month also indicated that Haley is the only Republican who could defeat Biden in the 2024 presidential election. Despite various legal challenges, former President Trump has maintained his lead in the Republican presidential contest, with 59% support among Republican primary voters.
