TRS Defends Denial of Permission for Naidu Rallies in Hyderabad
The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has defended its decision to deny permission for rallies by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad. TRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao stated that Naidu’s arrest is a political issue between two parties in Andhra Pradesh and has no consequences for Telangana.
He argued that holding rallies in Hyderabad could lead to law and order problems in the Telangana capital. Naidu’s supporters had protested in Hyderabad following his arrest in a Skill Development scam in Andhra Pradesh. Police subsequently denied permission for any protests. Rama Rao emphasized that Telangana politics has nothing to do with Andhra Pradesh politics and called on parties to hold their rallies in their respective states.
